An artist remembers their mother, spinning a modern Mexican Cinderella tale as we follow the trials and tribulations of one woman's journey into motherhood, from her humble beginnings in the town of Laredo, Texas to her journey to the Windy City of Chicago, and everything in between. It's one child's tribute to their mother, but in a way, it's a tribute to all mothers.

- Robert Faires, Austin Chronicle

"Take away theatre for a year. Take away the cast of rich, varied characters. Set Carlo Lorenzo Garcia solo in a room with Jose Lozano of Magic Spoon Productions and David Jarrott directing him, and see if he'll produce that same level of theatre magic... He does."
- Michael Meigs, CTX Live Theatre
"This is beautiful, touching and compelling. Carlo Lorenzo Garcia was remarkable in his ability to grab my attention and hold on. His story and his skills in telling that story were remarkable, tender, moving and inspiring. Find time to see it soon, as it will be gone before you know it."
- Barbara Keer, Splash Magazine

"This is a universal piece for everyone who has a mother or parent; that is every one of us, whatever form that relationship takes. It is about one woman’s story, but it could be the story of any of us. All our family stories are fascinating, and it is to Garcia’s credit that, alone on the virtual stage, he is able to make his interesting to an uninvolved viewer."
- Louise Penn, LouReviews

“...a loving and heartwarming tribute ...ends with a strong statement that his mother is a “warrior, a survivor,” and if you listen to his story, you’ll have no doubts about the veracity of that statement.”
-Regina Belt-Daniels, Northwest Herald
